What's MY DEAL

Hi. I’m Brian Ford. I'm from Portland, Oregon and I currently live in Venice, California. I've worked in advertising for 30+ years as a copywriter, creative director, executive creative director, founder, director, editor and producer. I've been an assistant to most of those too. After 9+ years at Wieden + Kennedy in Portland (1996-2006), I moved to Venice and founded Zambezi with Kobe Bryant, where we focused on sports and passion brands. We were Small Agency of the Year in 2011. I left in January, 2015 to seek a new adventure (with Kobe again) at BODYARMOR sports drink, where I’ve been working for over ten years now, as writer and creative director on all things BODYARMOR and Powerade. (They are owned by Coca-Cola, so I’m actually a Coca-Cola employee). I love to write with words, pictures and films. I've carried a camera around for 25 years, from the Pentax K1000 to Hi-8 video to Super 8 film to Polaroids to Yashica to iPhones, and I've always been driven to make things with them. My mission is to tell fun, smart and impactful stories with passion and dedication.
