Recent work and play. 

BODYARMOR is a natural sports drink that is going to topple Gatorade over time.  This new campaign is called "Obsession is Natural" and it's the first major campaign for Brian&Ford.  I wrote, directed, edited and produced all of these, in close collaboration with Kobe Bryant and the fine folks at BODYARMOR.  They have an amazing roster of athletes and this campaign shows off their obsession to always be stronger.  

The work includes 5-sec teasers, snapchat ads, digital takeovers on ESPN, Complex, Stance and others, as well as the main films.

We are all witnesses.  The only line I ever wrote that's tattooed on the player's leg. Thanks, King James. It's also on cars, shirts, garages, arenas, sandwiches and it all started with a billboard that the mayor declared as "art" so it could stay up in downtown Cleveland.  

Kobe Bryant and I have made many things together, with Nike, Make-A-Wish, Lakers, TNT, NBA2K, vitaminwater, Sprite, KB24 and the agency Zambezi, with more in the works. Not bad for a couple nobodies. 

We were agency of record for a few years with vitaminwater, making 360 integrated campaigns like "blankwater" as well as content for fantasy football, march madness, other sports initiatives and label copy.  We did it all. 

Smartwater wanted to make a viral video with Jen Aniston, so that's what we did, with help from some Internet favorites and go-tos. Like the title, "Jen Aniston Sex Tape." Talk about clickbait. It worked to the tune of 20 million views and PR up the wazoo. 

We were agency of record for Champs Sports for years, and made everything from TV campaigns to retail design to a robust online magazine called SWAG which was filled with interviews, games, videos and product for sale. 

popchips is popped not fried, and as agency of record we did everything from website redesign to video content to OOH and my personal favorite, "Katy and the Popcats," an action-packed film to take down the fried chip king, Fat Cat.  Katy Perry, cats in wigs, puppets, explosions and a rap intro. Fat cat never had a chance. 

We created multiple integrated campaigns for 2K Sports titles like MLB2K12, 2KNBA13 and 2KNBA14 and 2KWWE13. TV, OOH, contests, teasers, posters, video content and all that good stuff. 

WSOP.com is the home for online poker, and we created an integrated campaign with both humor and authority.  

Massive sports retailer based in China. We produced a five chapter animated series, and then Dwanye Wade joined the company and we created the "Way of Wade," a campaign and his signature shoe name. "Make your own way" is the motto and method that Wade lives by.  His Way of Wade (WOW) sneakers are running strong. 

"Strange Customs" is a Li Ning video loosely based on a true story about the time their funky shoes got held up in customs. I cannot stress "loosely" enough.  

Thanksgiving is all about binging on food. FIT TEA will be on the other side of that carnage to help you recover from the feasts.  

Phiten made sweet wristbands and we made a sweet music video about the history of bling with the group Pac-Div and some NBA ballers. 

Remember the old Nike posters we hung up on our bedroom walls in the 80's and 90's?  No? You must be young.  Maybe you remember these.  Posters with concepts. 

Sprite, Gold Peak Tea, Nestea, Georgia Coffee

We created the "Rise With Us" campaign which last multiple seasons and involved a giant wall outside the arena, a TV spot, in-game signage, player videos and t-shirts. You know, the whole shebang. 

I worked with a great team at Media Arts Lab on this campaign for the iPad Pro.  Sidenote I bought the iPad Pro so I could use the Apple Pencil, which is amazing. I draw creatures on various photos I take. So fun. 

Gavin is my neighbor, brother, nephew and friend.  He's a workhorse. 

Various Super8 films I've made over the years. Safe to say Super8 taught me the art of being frugal with film. You think about your shots when it's 40 bucks for 2 minutes of film. Restraint is one way to curate footage and then edit it. 

I sometimes freelance as one of those inset guys on news panels.
